What We Offer
Our clinicians are certified through the NC Board of Clinical Mental Health Counselors and the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board. All of our clinicians are trained to be able to address a broad range of issues that can occur throughout the lifespan. Many are trained specifically in the following areas; Anxiety & Depression, OCD, Life Transitions, LGBTQ+, Family Conflict, Parenting Challenges, Relationship Concerns, Post Partum, and Navigating Trauma.
Many of our clinicians focus on youth and emerging adulthood and have received specific evidence based training for the following modalities:
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. It uses bilateral stimulation (like side-to-side eye movements) while recalling a traumatic event to help the brain reprocess the memory and reduce its emotional distress.
-
CBT is a practical, short-term talk therapy that focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By identifying and challenging unhelpful or negative thought patterns, you can change how you react to difficult situations and improve your overall well-being.
-
ERP involves deliberately confronting your OCD triggers while actively resisting the urge to perform your usual compulsive rituals or avoidance behaviors.
-
Play therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach primarily for children aged 3 to 12. It treats toys as the child's "words" and play as their "language," allowing them to safely express complex emotions, process traumatic experiences, and develop coping skills when they lack the verbal ability to do so.
-
Relational Family Therapy is an integrative therapeutic approach that treats the family system and relationship dynamics as the primary "client," rather than focusing solely on a single individual's symptoms. It explores how early childhood experiences, attachment styles, and systemic patterns shape interactions, helping families resolve conflict and build healthier connections.
-
“Tapping" is a mind-body therapeutic method that combines elements of cognitive therapy, exposure, and acupressure. It involves using your fingertips to gently tap on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on a specific physical or emotional issue.

Insurance Questions
Some portion of the cost of our sessions may be covered by your health insurance plan or any employee assistance programs offered by your employer. In order to fully understand what benefits may apply to you, it will be helpful for you to reach out to your plan administrator directly. Here are some of the questions that may be helpful to ask:
Does my plan include mental health benefits?
What deductible(s) may apply and how much deductible is remaining?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions that are covered?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
